Why Leave Wix?

Your site is hosted on their servers
Wix explains this in its Help Center: its technology is SaaS, and the site has to run on Wix's infrastructure. There is no button to export it and take it with you.

In practice, this works in your favor: instead of just dragging and dropping a template, your website is tailored to your needs.
It's yours and will be transferred to your own account. The only catch is ICANN’s 60-day lock, which applies if you recently purchased or transferred that domain. We’ll check this during the first week, and if you’re within that timeframe, we’ll point the domain to the new site while the lock period runs out. That’s no reason to stay.
No, as long as the migration is done correctly. Before going live, we map out all the URLs that are currently receiving traffic and set up 301 redirects for each one. Google understands that the page has moved and carries over what you already had. Overall, it’s an improvement, because the new site loads faster, and Google rewards that.
